KAMI-1 GRAND PRIX is the first video contest in Japan and the pride of the hairdressing and barbering industry.
The event is designed to fulfill the dreams of young aspiring hairdressers and barbers who want to be famous and recognized.
The contest is held as a video clip, providing the next generation of the industry with an opportunity to be active.
For the first time ever, the event will be divided into two categories, “landscape” and “portrait,” so that both world views can be better expressed.
02 Theme
「 A video clip that inspires the next generation through hairdressing. 」
- There are no criteria aside from the above.
- Video must be presented with pride in your profession.
03 Requirements
Period
Apply and enter before June 30, 2025
*Valid until 23:59 on the day of the deadline
*Film corrections and resubmissions are possible within the period.
*Duplicate entries are not allowed.
Eligibility
(1) Licensed hairdresser or barber (2) Up to 40 years old *40 year-olds are eligible to apply.

A copy of your barber's or cosmetologist's license will be required at the time of registration for finalists.
Age as of December 31, 2025 will be considered.
Entry
Individual or teams (2-4 people)
※
Entries can be made by either individuals or teams. Teams are limited to a maximum of four participants.
Category
Landscape video clip category or Portrait video clip category.
*You will be in the category you chose upon entry until the final.
For example, you will not be able to submit a portrait video for 1st round, a landscape for 2nd round, and vice versa (there are no restrictions on filming equipment for either division.)
Entry Video Regulations
For the 1st and 2nd rounds
Submit 2 videos of 1 minute or less
Materials for the final round
Submit 1 video of 1 minute or less
*please clearly indicate which is for the 1st and 2nd rounds, and provide a title and brief explanation of the concept for each
*Please submit video file sizes of 512 MB or less for the first and second rounds.
